How to ensure the conveyor belt surface remains permanently shiny
To ensure the conveyor belt surface remains brilliantly black and rust-free for millions of years, we offer our advice and suggestions:
1. The surface of the conveyor belt must be regularly cleaned and wiped down to remove any extraneous materials and eliminate external factors that could cause rust or corrosion.
2. When cleaning your conveyor mesh belt, proceed with caution and use only non-abrasive tools. Soft cloth pads and bakelite erasers won’t damage the conveyor mesh belt’s surface layer.
3. Some conveyor belts have grinding lines or textures on their outer surfaces. If there are crushing lines, apply sizing in the same direction as the grinding lines. If the texture becomes difficult to see, proceed with caution and gently wipe it clean using a soft cloth or a plastic pad.
4. Use alkaline detergents, chlorine-based cleaners, or detergents that do not contain bleach when cleaning the conveyor mesh. At the same time, avoid using detergents containing chloride salts, as these may lead to pitting or rusting. If you accidentally use a detergent with bleach, be sure to develop, rinse, and wash the conveyor mesh immediately afterward—and promptly wipe the entire surface clean. Particularly important is to dry the conveyor mesh as quickly as possible after applying any cleaning solution. Once dried, allow the mesh to air-dry naturally, as oxygen will help preserve the passive oxide layer that protects the material.
